Skyrunners seems to be a true hit. It combines all that we can expect from the classical Disney stories in terms of presenting the relations between people in the most beautiful way with a truly modern plot and setting. Skyrunners tells the story of two brothers – Tyler and Nick who find a UFO in their backyard. They discover that the aliens are alive and are planning to take over the planet. Thankfully Tyler gains super natural powers, but it is up to Nick to save him after he is captured by the evil creatures. Eventually the two brothers save the world and destroy the enemy and go back to the joys of teenage life. Still, four aliens appear to have survived. So, we can expect a sequence.
The movie is indeed a lot of fun and the special effects are really great. The twists and turns in the plot are not hugely surprising, but they are still quite thrilling and interesting to follow. In some moments Skyrunners is truly endearing while in others it is incredibly funny and there are also the intense scenes full of excitement. The movie is full of action, which will literally make you stock to your seat and hold your breath. Yet the romantic shades give it that little pinch of charm that makes it truly special. The acting is quite good and intense on a lot of occasions. It is also really refreshing to see some new faces on the screen. Generally, the performance of the whole cast is quite good, although the young stars could have taken a few more acting classes.
Skyrunners is a full of pure first class Disney entertainment, which is a guarantee for a few hours well spent. It is the perfect choice for all teenagers, but lots of adults will surely like it very much as well.
