Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller is done following orders
The proved to be amazing director of action films, Paul Greengrass, is once again on silverscreen with another action thriller war movie. This time, his film Green Zone is taking place in Iraq. But let’s just not say “Not again!!” before watching, because this is not the cliche American patriotism war movie in which the heroic actions of the world saving USA. This movie is more about the “what is behind all these” and how the CIA and Pentagon conflict in order to get “some things” done. The main character is Roy Miller (Matt Damon) and he is the U.S Army Chief Warrant Officer who helps the CIA to find the alleged chemical weapons of mass destruction. Brenda Gleeson plays the role of the CIA Baghdad Bureau Chief. Amy Ryan portrays the foreign correspondent of the Wall Street Journal who is investigating the claims of the USA on the weapons of mass destruction. Greg Kinnear plays the role of Clark Poundstone, the Pentagon Special Intelligence. Jason Isaacs as a supporting role is a US military officer. Roy Miller is the head of the mobile team which looks for the mass destruction weapons in Iraq. But they are not able to do so. Every place pointed out by the secret intelligence turns out to be empty. Roy Miller decides to find out where the weapons actually are, if they really exist, where this incorrect information keeps coming from and why there is not any inspection done on the source and the information they provide. Turns out that the information comes from one source and nobody really can say that the source is clear. So the hunt full of action and mystery begins. The soundtrack of the film is very good and it builds the tension and supports the action and mystery. The performance of all the cast is stunning. This film is what you would expect from an action thriller war movie and it even exceeds the expectations.
