Cop Out (2010)Rock out with your Glock out
The latest movie of the director Kevin Smith, Cop Out, is a buddy-cop comedy with a hilarious plot with one occasion triggering another. The cop buddies are Jimmy Monroe (Bruce Willis) and Paul Hodges (Tracy Morgan), who have been partners for nearly nine years. The first bad thing happening to our unlucky partners is them failing a major bust and be on suspension, and unfortunately that event coincides with the theft of the very precious, vintage baseball card which belongs to Jimmy. Since Jimmy feels looked down on by the new, rich and arrogant husband of his ex wife, he plans to pay for the super expensive wedding of her nerve-wreckingly cute daughter, Ava (Michelle Trachtenberg). With this motivation, the team decides to track down the card and meet the hilarious supporting characters and their antiquities on their way. At the same time, the partner Paul is obsessed with the possibility of his wife cheating him and he feels the unsurpassable need to prove himself wrong. The ridiculously frequent remarks and jokes of him with the funny seriousness of Jimmy in the middle of those unfortunate events keep the audience happily laughing throughout the movie especially when they find out the identity of the memorabilia obsessed gangster who has the card. Sean William Scott, Kevin Pollak, Adam Brody as the supporting characters are as funny as the main characters and sometimes they are even funnier. All the serious drug dealing gangs, money laundering, fighting against the crime are dealt with a harsh sense of humour and with a sense of rush, but the absurd aspects of the movie makes it what it really is. If you would like to spend some time laughing and relaxing, it is a fun movie which will be capable of making you laugh and cite jokes afterwards.
